My creative and flowing movement ideas are inspired by real-life and fantasy themed topics, blending story-telling and music; a beautiful experience for these young and busy souls!

Working extensively in the on-campus Early Childhood Education center with 3-to 5-year-old children of University professors and campus staff, my goal was to one day own my own preschool and to continue to be in the presence of the gentle, creative, and imaginative spirits of young children. As a young mother, I offered Creative Playtime Childcare from 1988-1991. When my three children were in Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grades, I opened Blueberry Ledge Nursery School in Yarmouth, ME. Sharing this fun-filled, creative arts and nature-based education program for 3-to 5-year-old children from Sept 1992 - June 2010 was my dream come true! I continue to offer outdoor summertime Yoga Play! for Children along with welcoming children into my Healing Arts practice!

"Craniosacral Therapy: Enhancing the Body's Natural Healing Capabilities" Ongoing study with Ken DiPersio, LMT, CST, trained by Dr. John Upledger and is a Certified Upledger Insitute teacher. CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a relaxing method of complementary medicine that involves the practitioner manually applying subtle movements to the cranium, sacrum, and other areas of the body to bring the central nervous system into harmony. This therapeutic treatment was developed by Dr. John Upledger, Osteopathic Physician and releases restrictions in the body which may have caused symptoms such as chronic pain, learning disabilities, coordination problems, chronic fatigue, TMJ (jaw) dysfunction, seizure disorders, hormonal imbalances and more, leaving your body healthy and balanced.

Reiki energy healing works to raise the vibration of the body from the inside out, assisting the body to move toward wellness. This light-touch Universal Energy can be used to help a person in many different ways: facilitate deep relaxation, relieve pain, and promote healing and personal growth. History: Dr. Mikao Usui (1865-1926) was a Japanese Tendai Buddhist teacher and healer who founded: Usui's Spiritual Energy Therapy Society commonly known as Reiki: Universal Life Force Energy. There are currently many Reiki practitioners from which to choose. I am fortunate to know my lineage of Reiki. Dr. Misaro Usui trained Chujiro Hayashi, from Tokyo, who in turn taught Hawayo Hiromi Takata from Hawaii. It was Mrs. Takata who introduced the spiritual practice of Reiki to the Western world! Mrs Takata then trained John Harvey Gray and Judy-Carol Stewart who trained Libby Barnett who trained me. Come feel the warmth of my Reiki hands!

2006 - Positional Therapy, Levels I and II
Trained with Lee Albert, NMT (Neuromuscular Therapist), at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. "Experiential approach to Strain-Counterstrain & Muscle Energy Technique." "The results [from a Positional Therapy treatment] are immediate and often permanent, bringing effective relief to a wide variety of physical ailments caused by injury, stress, repetitive motion, postural distortion, and chronic neuromuscular conditions." ~Lee Albert A competitive gymnast in my early years and a yogi in my adulthood, I've been keenly aware of my body's alignment over the years and have known that the body also compensates for injury. My first experience with Positional Therapy was with a "tennis elbow" muscular injury in my right forearm. In the fall of 2007, what had been examined by a Medical Doctor and worked on for over six weeks with a Physical Therapist was completely and gently healed during a short period of time within a 1-hour positional therapy session! This 1-hour session of positional therapy brought such profound alignment to my entire physical body, that I decided to take the Positional Therapy Levels I and II courses at Kripalu and subsequently trained to become a Licensed Massage Therapist in order to be able to share this amazing work with others.

This Indian children's yoga philosophy is based on following the movements of animals, insects and plant life, becoming one with them through body, mind, and spirit! It's fun to explore yoga in this fashion of imagination and joy!! Kausthaub emphasized, "Yoga is in all things: our relationship with ourselves, with one another, and with the world." Beginning as early as birth, children absorb the richness of living a yoga-filled life. Children notice their natural environment and become nature through imitation."
I was at the Omega Institute training with Kausthaub on 9/11/2001 and for the week following. Needless to say, it was a transformative moment in my life to be in Rhinebeck, NY at this time, training with such a beloved spirit as Kausthaub. Having been raised in India and the son of, TKV Desikachar and grandson of T Krishnamacharya, yoga was a routine influence in Kausthaub's daily life. This Eastern yoga philosophy teaches that each person is a unique manifestation of life with their own gifts and talents. Kausthaub began teaching others when he was just 13.

A private nursery school developed for children ages 3-5 years. In a beautiful and sunny "treehouse" classroom, age appropriate, seasonal and colorful activities were presented giving the children opportunity to create, learn, grow, explore, share, appreciate the world around them and love one another. Preschool education & seasonal weekly themes, field trips, music, singing, outdoor play, yoga and friendships!

Dowsing: Spiritual, Health, Geomancy, Labyrinths, Feng Shui Having been aware of my expanded senses all my life: seeing, hearing, knowing, and feeling, I've been very "in tune" with my environment and the people around me. As an adult, the formal work I do for clients consists of dowsing health related issues, house clearing and some feng shui, working with earth energy to bring harmony to your living/work space, balancing EMF (electromagnetic field) energy in your environment i.e. electrical outlets, computers, microwave ovens, televisions, etc. I also like finding lost objects. I use traditional dowsing tools: L-rod, Y-rod, bobber, pendulum and other tools which aid in clearing space, intuition and remote dowsing/remote viewing. I also been known to create Labyrinths and enjoy teaching dowsing skills to others. American Society of Dowsers sponsors an Annual Convention in June. dowsers.org
